BEAUTIFUL ESCAPISM
I'm finally back to reading on a more frequent basis! It feels nice to lose myself in some literature and it feels even better to finish a book and excitedly go through a stack of un-read books for my next adventure.
Granted, my un-read book stack is quickly dwindling, but I'm trying to put off from buying more books until we move to Orlando next month. I hate moving....the packing, the lifting, the rental of a moving truck...it's all tiring. So the least amount of things I have to pack and move, the better.
So far, our move is looking light since we don't have a house full of furniture to move at this time. That's the joy of a new relationship where neither of us has many personal effects. I left all of my furniture and boxes of memories with my soon-to-be ex husband. I came here with three suitcases and a purse....
Viva Orlando....not the actor Orlando Bloom, though he is kinda cute....but the city which Carlos and I are headed......
*Eyes the book I just started reading last night*
By the by, I just finished reading "Beautiful Lies" by Lisa Unger....in my opinion, it was a 3 out of 5 stars. I liked the premise of it, but I didn't care for her style of narration. How she talks to the reader like we're a reporter, but yet she NEVER explains why she is talking that way. I thought maybe at the end there would be an explanation like she had been sitting for an interview for a newspaper about her "ordeal" but that never happens.
